Multiverse: Guardians

When Earth-745 was threatened by a race of interstellar conquerors, its greatest heroes banded together to drive them away. Discovering how well they worked as a team, they decided to stick together and try their hand as a team. Brought together from across the world, the Guardians strive to help the word achieve true and lasting peace.

Red Rush: A scientist from Russia, Alexi was performing experiments in harnessing lightning as a clean source of electricity when his machinery literally blew up in his face. Discovering during his recovery that the power of the lightning had super-charged his cells with energy, allowing him to move at speeds beyond anything possible by creatures of flesh and blood.

Horus: An archeologist and adventurer discovered a lost temple to the Egyptian gods. Entering the inner-sanctum and discovering a bejeweled necklace, he picked it up only to be confronted by the astral projections of the ancient gods themselves. On that day, a new champion was born, blessed with the powers of the gods Nephtys, Thoth, Geb, Sobek and Horus, he is charged with protecting the world from the forces of darkness and chaos.

War Woman: A princess from an island of immortals, Maggie ran away from home as a young woman to experience the outside world for herself, taking a suit of magical armor and an enchanted war hammer. Now, based out of San Francisco, War Woman protects her new home not only from evil, but from the forces her mother sends to bring her back.

Nighthawk: The mysterious hero of Midnight City, Nighthawk possesses no powers of his own, but uses an arsenal of cutting edge technology to make himself a force to be reckoned with. A master marital artist and forensic analyst, he possesses both the brains and the brawn to challenge even the worst villains he has had to face.

Omni-Man: Deep in space, beyond where mankind's most powerful telescopes have managed to peer, floats the planet Viltrum. The Viltrumites, blessed with amazing physical and mental powers, have built a virtual utopia on their planet, creating a society free of war, crime, pollution or poverty. Rather than revel in their perfection, the Viltrumites saw it as their duty to spread their happiness among the stars, discovering other life-baring worlds and setting up systems to protect the native species from natural disasters, all the while helping the more advanced races discover the secrets that had made Viltrum the paradise it now is. One such explorer, Moragg by name, discovered a small, uncharted blue planet drifting around a distinguished yellow-dwarf star. Moragg, amazed by how similar to his own species humans were, disguised himself as a native and began observation. Moragg's legend as a hero began when he spotted an out-of-control cargo hauler about to run over a young female and rushed to get her out of the way. Now, Omni-Man leads the Guardians as their chairman from his hidden base in the Rockies.

Black Samson: Born into a poor inner-city neighborhood, Brock Samson worked hard to make something of himself, going to college on a football scholarship and eventually becoming a famous Olympic athlete, bringing himself fame and fortune, but never forgetting his humble roots. When the gangs began to run rampant, taking over entire neighborhoods, Brock used his intellect to create a suit to increase his physical skills 100 times. So was born of the urban vigilante Black Samson, who single-handedly broke up every gang in Baltimore and delivered their leaders to the police.

Martian Man: A peacekeeper from Mars had pursued a criminal toward Earth, when both ships were damaged in the firefight and crashed. Saved from the wreckage of his ship by Omni-Man, the Martian spent many weeks in his new friend's care, all the while using his psychic abilities to learn the ways, languages and customs of Earth. As a member of the Guardians, Martian Man uses his myriad powers for the forces of good, while all the while searching for his original target and seeking a way to contact his friends and family on Mars.

Green Ghost: A mysterious and enigmatic member of a group of intergalactic lawmen. Like all his fellows, Green Ghost possesses a hidden talisman that gives him the powers of flight, super-strength, energy projection, intangibility and invisibility. Truthfully, the Green Ghost is a recent bearer of the mantle, having replaced his predecessor within the last year, and is still finding his feet as a hero.
